The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 outline requirements to improve digital accessibility, with three conformance levels: Level A (basic), Level AA (intermediate), and Level AAA (highest). Opal Suites is working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance, which ensures a robust and inclusive experience for most users.
While we aim for full accessibility across all pages—Contact Us, View Units, Layout, Amenities, and Locale—some content may not yet fully meet Level AA standards due to technical challenges or ongoing enhancements. We are actively identifying and implementing the most effective solutions to address these gaps.
Text and Contrast
High-contrast colors (#242c3b text on #ffffff backgrounds, #facb67 headings) for readability.
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements (e.g., buttons, forms) are accessible via keyboard, with ARIA labels for screen readers.
Alt Text
Descriptive alt text for images (e.g., unit photos, floor plans) to support visually impaired users.
Responsive Design
Breakpoints (320px–1536px+) ensure compatibility across devices, from small phones to large desktops.
Forms
Accessible form fields with clear labels and error messages (e.g., Contact Us form).
Typography
Montserrat font with scalable sizes (e.g., 0.875rem on small phones, 1.25rem on desktops) for legibility.
We are continuously improving accessibility by:Conducting regular audits using tools like WAVE and Lighthouse to identify barriers.
Training our web development team (aligned with your web design background, April 1, 2025) on WCAG standards.Testing with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, VoiceOver) to ensure compatibility.Updating content and code to address user feedback and technological advancements. Some areas, such as complex interactive elements (e.g., virtual tours on View Units) or third-party embeds (e.g., Google Maps on Locale), may not yet be fully accessible. We are working to resolve these challenges by exploring alternative solutions and vendor partnerships.
